Don’t miss this town hall on the clean energy benefits made possible by the Future Energy
Jobs Act.  Come learn how Chicago residents, community organizations, and businesses can participate in a clean energy future featuring more solar and wind energy, more
cost-saving energy efficiency opportunities, and new job training programs. Speakers
include Dorian Breuer of Ailey Solar, energy-efficiency
expert Lorena Lopez from Faith in Place,  Rose Gomez
of PERRO (Pilsen Environmental Rights Reform
Organization), Christine Nannicelli of the Sierra Club,
and Jon Carson of Trajectory Energy.

Clean Water Expo-July 15th/Saturday: Free Water Filters distribution

Activities include:
– Free Water Filter distribution
– Filter installation and use demonstration
– Chlorine test demonstration
– Water quality test signup
– Scheduling for in-home followup for installation/interview
– More door knocking
 
PERRO recently  won a grant from the great Lakes Alliance to distribute free water filters in Pilsen. We’re in need of assistance for all of the above, but could especially use Spanish-speaking volunteers.  Meet in the morning July 15th at  11am to rehearse Water Expo activities.
